In the kit:
Two spice mixes ready to make your chana dal including cumin seeds, coriander seeds, chilli powder, turmeric, ground coriander, garam masala, fenugreek powder, and mango powder.
You will need:
Chana dal (1 cup, about 200g)
Water (3 cups, about 720ml plus extra for soaking)
Vegetable oil (1 tbsp)
Garlic cloves (2, crushed)
Fresh ginger (thumb-size piece, grated)
Red chilli (1, finely chopped)
Onion (1 medium, finely chopped)
Chopped tomatoes (1 x 400g tin)
Spinach (100g, optional)
Coriander (handful, finely chopped)
