Ingredients: 500 g Potatoes (waxy and chopped into halves/quarters); 3 tbsp Vegetable oil; 1 Onion (finely chopped); 1 Chilli (finely chopped); 400 g Chopped tomatoes (tinned); 0 Red wine vinegar (optional splash); 1 tsp Sugar; 0 Seasoning to taste; 0 Handheld blender (optional)

Place the potatoes in a pan of boiling water and boil for 7 minutes
Heat one tablespoon of the oil in a pan and add your Teaspoon Club spice packet. Fry for 1 minute on a medium heat before adding the onion and chilli
Fry for 5 minutes or so, until the onion is softened
Pour in the chopped tomatoes and a splash of red wine vinegar if using
Simmer for 10 minutes until any sitting liquid has evaporated
Stir in a teaspoon of sugar and season well. You could blend your bravas sauce in a blender before serving for a smoother consistency, or you could leave it as it is
Once the potatoes have finished boiling, drain them and you can then either roast or fry them. If you have a deep fat fryer, you could fry them in there, or you could heat the remaining oil to a hot temperature in a pan and fry the potatoes, turning them gently so they are browned on all sides. Alternatively, you could roast them in an oven at 200°C/180°C fan/390°F/ gas mark 6. To do so, heat some oil or fat in a roasting tin before placing the potatoes into the fat, which will help them to crisp up nicely. They will take between 30-40 minutes and will need turning every 10-15 minutes
Serve the potatoes hot with the bravas sauce drizzled on top. This tapas dish is best served alongside other Spanish tapas dishes

Notes

Patatas bravas is a classic Spanish t.apas dish with fried potatoes and a salsa on top. This recipe kit makes it very easy to cook up quickly
