Setting the table - tips for spring
We love trying to think of new ways to lay our table, so below we've shared three of our favourite displays ready for Spring
Formal tables
For an indoor table for a Sunday roast, a bag of goodies as a name-setting always goes down a treat - especially with any little ones! A bright green theme with the runner and candles, using the pussy willow and stoney runner to soften the tone, sets off the table perfectly for spring.
The lollypop bags used to tie treats are only £1.50 for 50 at The Works, and pussywillow can be bought from most supermarkets for a reasonable price in spring. Check out these from John Lewis and Tesco Direct. Some of our favourite runners in the market at the moment are from Zara Home, Debenhams, and La Redout
Outdoor Tables
With warmer weather finally creeping in it's time to dust off your outdoor furniture and enjoy some sunshine! Using fresh flowers for a placesetting can keep to the outdoor theme beautifully. With floral crockery, the cherry blossom here compliments the green surroundings beautifully
Casual brunches & lunches
For a more casual table setting, there's really no need for a table cloth. Instead, we like mis-matched mugs and bowls, and a big sharing basket of homemade bread. Clipping a name with a peg to flutes is a quick and no-fuss way to finish the table off, all ready for mimosas! Our mis-matched crockery here is from Emma Bridgewater, who regularly have beautiful new designs to add to a collection over time
If you try any of these ideas, or get creative with some others, upload your pictures to social media an tag us in them! We'd love to see what you come up with, and you may feature in our next post
