A delicious spinach side dish, this dish gets a lot of flavour from all kinds of Indian spices. The potatoes have a great crispy outside with a soft, flavoursome centre- perfect!

What's in the kit?

2 spice stages for making your Saag aloo, including black mustard seeds, cumin seeds, chilli powder, ground ginger, asafoetida, and turmeric. It will also include a recipe card, telling you exactly how to make this dish.

What do I need?

Potatoes (1 kg, chopped into ~3cm cubes)
Onion (1, chopped)
Sunflower oil (6 tbsp)
Garlic cloves (2, minced)
Spinach (500g)
Water (350ml)
Green chillies (2, whole and pierced)
Tomatoes (5, peeled and chopped finely. Could substitute for a tin of plum tomatoes, drained and chopped finely)
Tomato puree (2 tbsp)
