Method

Our mulled cider kit is perfect for warming up your winter months

Our kit costs £3.50 and is for 2 litres of cider, serving 8

  1. Begin by coring the apple and slicing it thinly. Peel the orange and place the curled peel aside. Slice the orange
  2. Place the cloves, cinnamon sticks, and allspice berries into a large saucepan. Grate a good chunk of the nutmeg into the saucepan over a medium high heat
  3. Stir the spices for 1 minute or so until their fragrance is released
  4. Pour in the cider, and place the sugar, orange peel, orange slices, and apple slices into the saucepan. Stir until the sugar is dissolved
  5. Turn the heat to medium low and leave the cider to mull for 30 to 35 minutes
  6. Taste the cider and, if desired, add more sugar. If you like, you can sieve out the spices from the cider when serving, though you may also choose to leave them in. Serve the cider in glasses and enjoy warm
