Black chia seeds
Black chia seeds are the tiny black seeds from the plant Salvia Hispanica , and are an excellent source of protein and sustainable energy. With a dense and crunchy texture, yet sweet taste, the use of chia seeds varies enormously. They are used as an egg substitute (great for vegan recipes), as a thickener in puddings, smoothies, pasta and other savoury dishes, and as a topping in itself! The possibilities are endless!
