Black cardamom pods
Our products come in home compostable, plant-based packaging.
Black cardamom pods are intensely dried, which gives them a much drier and wrinklier texture than their green counterparts. Because it is harvested by hand, it is the third most expensive spice in the world, after saffron and vanilla. It's rarely used in sweet dishes, unlike green cardamom, and tends to be much more common in savoury and spicy dishes with it's smoky and warm flavour. Ours come from Vietnam.
Our spices are all natural products, and as such leaves and whole spices can break up during the picking process. In trying to promote waste-free spices, scoops will include these broken pieces and imperfect shapes and sizes. This is perfectly natural and they still taste amazing.

We source many of our spices from Soil Associate Organic Certified producers and are working towards certification ourselves.
